One of the greatest needs in the Dark Hollow community is access to healthy, affordable, and nutritious food. Dark Hollow Community Garden started as one of the first gardens with the NLR Community Garden Program, to address food insecurity and simultaneously beautify the neighborhood. The garden is a city-funded program dedicated to making local food accessible and educating the public on gardening practices. Anytime you are in the garden, whether harvesting, planting, or admiring, kindly ensure to register your attendance using the QR code or the sign-in sheet located in the mailbox

The Dark Hollow Community Garden is Alive and Thriving!
Our garden has become a vibrant hub of activity and community spirit! Several fun and engaging events have already taken place, with even more exciting ones on the way.
Some recent highlights include a Kids Gardening Class, where young green thumbs got their hands dirty and learned about planting and growing, and “A Taste of Gardening” Party, which brought neighbors together to enjoy the fruits (and veggies!) of our collective efforts.
